Q: Will you register my domain name for me?
A: We will certainly try. If the domain isn't already registered, we can
get it registered for you and have it active within 24 hrs. Please check
out our pricing for registering your domain name for you.
Q: Why does it take so long for my domain
name to become active?
A: In order for your name to be recognized, it has to be sent out to every
Domain Name Server in the world. As you can imagine, this can take a bit
of time to make sure everyone is updated. While it may be visible to
someone in NY almost immediately after being registered, someone in Australia
(or even sometimes some places a lot closer that you'd expect to be updated
sooner) may have to wait to be able to use your name to find your site.
Q: What if the domain name that I want is currently taken?
A: If you're domain name is already registered/owned by someone else, we won't
pursue it any further than that and will let you know that the domain has
already been taken. If you'd like to contact the owner of the domain to
see if they'd like to sell it to you, we'd be more than happy to put you in
contact with them, but we won't act as the intermediary between the two parties.
Q: Can I currently just purchase a domain
from you guys without a web hosting package?
A: Not currently, but we're looking into it. Honestly, its not cost
effective enough for us to offer that, but if there's enough interest we may in
the future.
Q: If I have my domain registered with
someone else currently, do I have to break that contract and transfer everything
to you guys?
A: Absolutely not. If you like where your domain is being hosted or you
have a contract, no sense in causing undue headaches, we'll just give you the
information (IP and mail routing) you'll need to point your domain at our
servers.
